In late 2023 I had a bit of a creative reawakening.

Now I am regularly releasing music while working for a small, independent tech business. I seek to stay independent as a musician in as many ways as possible, and I primarily write here to summarize my findings as I explore this.

The biggest surprise I’ve found is how difficult it is to find genuine, unbiased organized information around the various topics of surviving independently as an online creator in 2024. I’ve met hundreds of indie artists across various disciplines, with a wide range of fan bases, who feel stuck. Jaded. At mercy of the whims of big platforms and algorithms. The tools they’ve relied on becoming less reliable and more complicated over time. So this is my attempt to remedy that.
